Q. How do I book?

Choose the package you would like to hire, select the Booking Request button and complete the required information. We will check our availability and will reply to you within 24 hours.

What areas do you hire and do you charge for delivery?

Caterpillar Garden soft play covers the Severn Vale area, including Gloucester and South Gloucestershire. Our prices include free delivery and collection within a 15 mile radius of GL11. If your venue is further than this, the following charges apply:

  • 0 - 15 miles from GL11 Free

  • 15 - 20 miles from GL11 £10 

  • 20 - 25 miles from GL11 £15.

Q. Is there a minimum age for children?

There is no minimum age. Our equipment is suitable for 0 - 4 year olds and we can configure the equipment to suit the needs to your guests. Children 5 and older are not permitted to play on the equipment.

Q. Can the soft play or bouncy castle be used outside?

To ensure the quality of our kit, the safety of your children, and to prevent last minute cancellations due to the weather, we only accept indoor bookings.

Q. How long will you need to set-up and pack away?

We will need a minimum of 30 - 40 minutes to set up and pack away depending on access. Please consider this when booking your venue.

Q. How long is the hire period?

We usually only hire once per day so the hire period is guided by your venue and your needs. Our latest collection time is 6pm unless agreed with us prior to your event.

Q. How do I pay?

Caterpillar Garden can accept payment via bank transfer or PayPal.

Q. Is Caterpillar Garden Soft Play available for hire all year round?

Yes, we are available for hire all year round with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Q. Are you insured?

Yes, Caterpillar Garden is fully insured, our Public Liability Insurance Certificate is available on request.

Q. Can parents help their children on the soft play equipment?

Of course, parents are responsible for supervising their children and can assist them where required. However shoes should always be removed to avoid scuffs and damage to the equipment.

Q. What happens if the package size I have booked does not fit my venue?

All sizes are detailed in the package description. Please check the venue has enough space for your required package before booking.

If on arrival we assess that there is not enough room, our kit is flexible, allowing us to accommodate the best fit for your venue which may be smaller than originally hired, the difference will not be refunded.

The set up we leave you with, will always have the safety of the children first and foremost. 

Q. What happens if the equipment gets damaged while on hire?

Here at Caterpillar Garden, we pride ourselves on the quality of our kit. We kindly ask that you take care of it by ensuring guests adhere to the rules at all times. 
Accidents do happen and we understand this, however we reserve the right to charge a damage fee.

Q. Is the soft play safe?

We do everything we can to ensure the safety of your children through providing you with a safe set up and good quality kit.

The soft play will always be set up at least 1m away from walls, furniture or any other equipment so please consider this when booking and setting up your venue. The Baby Butterflies package includes a step and slide, due to its height, there must be at least 2m of matting on all sides.

Children must be supervised at all times during play and the behaviour and safety of the children remains the responsibility of the hirer and the parents. 

Q. What steps are taken to ensure the soft play is clean & hygienic?

Here at Caterpillar Garden, we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our equipment, with everything being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between hires (including every ball in the ball pond).
We use a medical grade anti-viral disinfectant and the ball pond balls are washed with a non-bio germicidal detergent in-between hires. 
Our aim is to ensure you and your little ones have a great time whilst knowing that we have the highest standards of cleanliness.
